Istanbul SUMP & Sustainable Devolopment Goals
At the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Summit held in 2015, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development), which was accepted as a roadmap for the present and future well-being of people and the planet, is based on 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). forms. The Istanbul SUMP Project also aims to achieve maximum harmonization with SDGs and to contribute to the sustainable development of the city. In this context, evaluation workshops were held in line with the 28 sustainability principles and 80 performance criteria determined for the Istanbul SUMP, using the “SDG Project Evaluation Tool” developed by the UN Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat), and a unique SDG profile was created showing the project’s compliance potential with SDGs.
